The aim of the training program is to prepare social entrepreneurs for current challenges and new cross-border cooperation.
The Social Entrepreneurship Education and Development Hub (SEED-Hub) project supports social entrepreneurs, start-ups, aspiring social entrepreneurs and employees of public institutions in the Trnava region, Bratislava region, Northern and Central Burgenland, Vienna and Lower Austria through a targeted training program and building a cross-border network.
The SEED-Hub (SK / AT) training program for social entrepreneurs and social innovators offers tailor-made training in 5 modules for 30 participants from the mentioned border regions.
Areas in which participants implement or plan to implement include, for example, social care, education, labor integration, environmental protection, social assistance, fair trade, social housing, culture and the arts, tourism, IT, telecommunications, community development, human rights and others.
The focus of educational modules
will be the following topics
Module 1:
Introduction to the theory and practice of social entrepreneurship
(led by EUBA - University of Economics in Bratislava )

System sustainability
(led by FHB - Fachhochschule Burgenland )

Module 2 took place online.
Module 3:
Acquisition, establishment and design of a social enterprise
(led by FHB - Fachhochschule Burgenland)
Date: 13.01.2022
Module 3 took place online.
Module 4:
Business models, business plans and social enterprise financing options
(led by EUBA - University of Economics in Bratislava )
The date will be announced in time. Expected: April / May 2022.
Module 4 will take place online or offline, depending on the current situation regarding COVID-19.
Module 5:
Implementation and project management of a social enterprise
(led by ZSI - Zentrum für Soziale Innovation )
The date will be announced in time. Expected: April / May 2022.
Module 5 will take place online or offline, depending on the current situation regarding COVID-19.
Curriculum languages:
English, a translator will be available if needed
Duration of the training program:
October 2021 - May 2022
The modules are planned as face-to-face events in Bratislava, Eisenstadt and Vienna in compliance with all necessary measures related to the COVID-19 pandemic and will take place online when the situation changes.
Conditions of participation and application
Participants must meet the following conditions:
The place of residence or place of business of the applicants is in one of the program regions: Trnava region, Bratislava region, Northern and Central Burgenland, the city of Vienna, Lower Austria.
The educational program is intended for participants from the circle of regional social entrepreneurs, providers of social services, aspiring social entrepreneurs and employees of public institutions from the program area.
Candidates have a high school diploma (or equivalent qualification recognized in the Slovak Republic or AT).
Applicants will demonstrate a high degree of motivation for the implementation of projects in the field of social entrepreneurship by submitting a motivation letter, which will contain a proposal for their own project in the field of social entrepreneurship. The cover letter has include identification of the area of social impact, SK-AT cross-border potential, economic sustainability of the social entrepreneurship project.
