Úsmev pre druhých (“A Smile for Others”) is a platform that helps people with various forms of disabilities, including congenital genetic syndromes, through a wide network of specialists across Slovakia. The platform raises awareness, develops early-intervention services, and provides as much information, expert support, and social assistance as possible to people with disabilities and their families.
Socialeasator is a new social network focused on supporting people with disabilities and their families. It connects individuals with specialists (doctors, physiotherapists, special education teachers, psychologists, etc.) and provides them with immediate advice. It also involves people in volunteering in their local communities. In addition, it educates and informs clients about relevant topics and challenges they face and creates networks of people with similar life situations who can support one another (diagnosis-based matchmaking tool).
The Genetic Syndromes project - Genetické syndrómy - will soon become part of the Socialeasator platform.
This tool reaches many vulnerable groups: people with health issues seeking social support; people with mental health challenges; single parents balancing work and childcare; individuals facing financial hardship or debt-management problems; immigrants or refugees navigating cultural adaptation and integration; and survivors of domestic violence seeking resources and support.
A part of the project is the community center Usmej sa (“Smile”) in Piešťany. It includes a social services home whose mission is to create an inclusive environment and connect people with disabilities, enabling their personal growth.
