In Slovakia, there are nearly 600,000 sole traders and small and medium-sized entrepreneurs who employ 74% of all employees in companies, and their share of Slovakia’s total GDP is 54%.
The problem addressed by the project is the dysfunction of organizations and associations representing their interests—guilds and professional communities exist only in a very limited form—and the lack of any relevant active communities with a broader reach.

Small Business Innovations offers socially-oriented business consulting and the provision of comprehensive support services, including securing financing for micro-entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises.
